Cell Towers

I think that I shall never see
A cell tower lovely as a tree:
A tower whose base in ledge is grounded
By tranquil fields and homes surrounded,
A tower whose arms reach to the sky,
A shock  to birds and passers-by,
A tower that may repel a pair
Of Great Horned Owls in her hair,
A tower more visible to all
In winter, early spring, and fall.
Towers are built by fools for greed,
But only God can make a tree.
