All Good Things Come to an End

I am very sad to say that we will no longer be publishing news on Dunstable Commons.

Five years ago, I decided to take a flying leap at improving communications and building greater awareness among Dunstable residents of issues that affect our community. I started out by creating an informal community email list on Yahoo Groups and building a municipal website for the town.

Perspective on Ballot Questions

This year’s spring election has very important ballot questions for voters.  Two questions are related to the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District.  One question involves debt exclusion and the other question would increase both towns’ assessments for the FY09 operating budget.  Both of these questions are sometimes referred to as “Proposition 2 ½ Overrides”, and we would like to briefly explain them and encourage your support.

Next Tuesday, we will elect someone new to represent our interests in the US Congress. Before you vote, we hope you will take time to consider how our representative's position on national issues will affect us on a local level and consider where each of the candidates stands on those issues.

Dunstable Cable Fable

Here's my 2 cents on FIOS and cable.

I use Charter ONLY for Internet access. I don't pay for TV service. That's about $500/year savings. The aerial is on my roof and there's a coax wire that comes down to my TV set.
