Antique tiles are indeed beautiful and unique but, how do I use them?� In addition to touching on traditional uses for tiles this seminar will reveal interesting and creative ways to incorporate tiles into any design scheme. Included also in the talk will be a brief introduction to antique tiles, how to tell new from old tiles, where to find antique tiles, and what are they worth.
Wendy Harvey together with her partner Sandie Fowler are the co-owners of Antique Articles, the largest antique tile company in the USA. She is internationally known as a tile specialist and is co-author of "Art Nouveau Tiles", and numerous articles on tiles. Drawing on her background in education, she has presented tile seminars nationally in New Jersey, North Carolina and around New England. She has appeared on HGTV and consulted on a segment for Martha Stewart Living.
Boston Antiques Weekend is scheduled for Saturday April 12, 2008 and Sunday April 13, 2008 at the Seaport World Trade Center, Boston, MA. Boston Antiques Weekend will feature 250 dealers in three shows under one roof - celebrating antiques, art, vintage fashion, antique textiles, antiquarian books & ephemera.
Boston Antiques Weekend is a one-of-a-kind antique show combining three aspects of history. Shows include The Boston Antiques Show, The Boston Antiquarian Book & Ephemera Fair, and The Boston Antique Textile & Vintage Fashion Show.
The Boston Antiques Show will feature 140 fine quality antiques dealers from all over the eastern U.S. showcasing a wide diversity of fine antiques, fine art and prints, silver, porcelain, decorative accessories, jewelry, art glass and pottery, art deco and mid-century modern, arts and crafts movement, fine American and European antiques, period furniture, Americana folk art, garden and architectural artifacts from the 18th to the mid 20th century.
The Boston Antiquarian Book & Ephemera Fair will feature 80 high quality antiquarian book and ephemera dealers, from all over the eastern U.S., showcasing books and ephemera on all subjects.
The Boston Antique Textile & Vintage Fashion Show will feature 30 top antique textile and vintage fashion dealers from all over the eastern U.S.
Admission to Boston Antiques Weekend is $12 per person, or $17 for a two-day pass. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Hours are Saturday April 12, 2008 10:00 am - 6:00 p.m. and Sunday April 13, 2008 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Seaport World Trade Center.
