One of the great pleasures of living in Dunstable is sharing our yard with a wide variety of creatures that live with us permanently or regularly visit. One of our regular visitors this winter has been a family of turkeys. It has not been a great winter for them, so our bird feeders have been a welcome oasis in this desert of snow. It has been interesting to observe how their appearance and behavior has changed just in the last week as spring approaches.
[0]We seem to have seen more turkeys in the last few years and I wonder if the turkey population is growing and how many other people in town have adopted these big birds ?
