Hamlet looks at our hamlet!

Poem by Marge Kimpton

40B or not 40B- that is the question:

Whether ’tis nobler for the town to suffer

The slings and arrows of outrageous state laws

Or take action against a sea of troubles

And by opposing, end them.  Or, to drowse, to sleep-

No more- and by denial think we end

The heartaches and the natural shocks

Such growth is heir to- ‘tis a conclusion

Greatly to be wished.  To deny, to sleep-

To sleep, perchance to dream.  Ay, there’s the rub,

For in that denial what contractors may come

While we refuse to face reality

Might give us pause….

Thus conscience should make activists of us all…

And with enterprises of great vision and moment

In this regard foul currents turn away
And seek alternative solutions.
