Garrett Quimby from Dunstable makes NH Junior Olympic Ski Team
Garrett Quimby, age 13, of Dunstable, recently made the 15-man Junior Olympic ski team and races for Waterville Valley, NH. He was one of only 5 boys from New Hampshire that made the team as 1st -year J3's competing against other 13 and 14 year olds.
Garrett Quimby: 2006 J4 Junior Olympics & Future Stars - Silver MedalistGarrett started his skiing at Waterville Valley at age 2 and started racing at age 4. At age 6, Garrett was the Nastar National Champion at Vail Colorado, and since then has gone on to be the NH Slalom, Giant Slalom and State Champion on a number of occasions. He has won over 35 sanctioned races, one year winning 16 of 20 races, and every State race and championship for the year! Last year he was the silver medalist at the J4 Junior Olympics and Future Stars Event at Sugarbush VT.
Garrett will be competing in this prestigious event at Stratton Mountain, VT this weekend against the best skiers from the East. Let's wish Garrett best of luck as he represents his state and our town.
