Meet... Gloria Goss
Gloria GossI was born in Burnett, Vermont on June 2nd 1937. I was the 9th child of Peter and Viola Flynn. I have five sisters and four brothers. The family moved to Pepperell when I was in 5th grade. I attended the Clara Shattuck Elementary School and the Pepperell High School.
I worked at the Pepperell Spa where I met my future husband, Charles Goss Jr. Charlie and I were married in 1958.
We have two sons, Charles E. Goss III, who lives in Templeton, MA, and Wesley D. Goss, who lives in Dunstable, and one daughter, Darlene G. Cooney, who also lives in Dunstable. I am lucky enough to have ten grandchildren and one great grandson. We live on land that has been in the Goss family for six generations. Our family is close by, allowing them to drop in at will. I enjoy them so much. I am kept young by the fact that our great-grandson lives with us.
After being a school cafeteria manager for thirteen years, I decided to go back to school. I attended Newbury College at night and finaly received my Associates Degree in Applied Science at the age of fifty.
I worked for nine years as an Administrative Assistant for the Whistler Corp. in Westford and twelve years at Comet Corp. in Chelmsford.
I have been retired for four years, which allows Charlie and I the free time to go to Foxwoods, which we both enjoy.
I also enjoy working at the library on Saturdays and going to the senior meetings on Wednesdays. I keep busy working on arts & crafts and crocheting.
