submitted by Stan Foster, photos by Debbie Foster

One of the great pleasures of living in Dunstable is sharing our yard with a wide variety of creatures that live with us permanently or regularly visit. One of our regular visitors this winter has been a family of turkeys. It has not been a great winter for them, so our bird feeders have been a welcome oasis in this desert of snow. It has been interesting to observe how their appearance and behavior has changed just in the last week as spring approaches.

Tribute to Fire-Chief George Bacon 1970-2007

Speech delivered by former Selectman Ted Gaudette at George Bacon's retirement party on July 13, 2007

37 years of service as Fire Chief, 43 total with Dunstable Fire Department.

So what I would like to do is share with you what I know about Chief George Bacon.
